Tucked in between Spain and France, the little nation of Andorra is a popular destination for skiers, but it is also, despite its diminutive size, home to two golf courses. It should be made clear that the course by Jose Maria Olazábal at Aravell Golf Andorra is in fact located in Spain, some ten miles from that country's border with Andorra. In Andorra itself, Jeremy Pern has created a 2600-meter, 9-hole, par 33 layout for Golf Soldeu. Situated some 8500 feet in elevation, this course is accessible only by a gondola. The country's other course, also a 9-holer, is at Vall d'Ordino Golf Club, which offers a lighted driving range. So if you find yourself traveling down to the Iberian Peninsula and are in the mood for some golf on high, think about making a stop in Andorra.
