Known as "home to a little bit of everything," San Francisco is famous for its hilly terrain and lovely California scenery as well as for fine international cuisine. Visitors also enjoy the cool weather 350 miles north of L.A. and the cultural diversity. Such must-see attractions as Union Square, Chinatown, the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf are frequented by millions of tourists from around the world every year.
San Francisco is also a fantastic golf destination. There are literally dozens of courses in and around the city, many of which take full advantage of the stunning landscape. And while there are some outstanding public courses, such as TPC at Harding Park and Golden Gate Park, it is the exclusive members-only clubs that boast the Bay's finest treasures. Such names as California Golf Club, San Francisco Golf Club, Half Moon Golf Links and Olympic are rightly renowned in golf circles; the latter club's Lake Course hosted the 2012 US Open Championship.
