The EXd irons feature the largest free-standing face with the deepest undercut cavity manufactured by Exotics. The unsupported face is extremely hot and able to flex more at impact for profound distance. Pushing face flexibility even farther, engineers developed an advanced Variable Face Thickness (VFT) design that produces greater spring effect and forgiveness on more areas of the face.
The 431 stainless steel irons feature a generous offset design for added forgiveness helping players return to square at impact. The long irons (3, 4, 5, 6) have stronger lofts with low Center of Gravity (C.G.) positioning for huge distances. The C.G. in each iron is designed for perfect progression iron to iron to improve club head speed at impact.
Similar to the Exotics E8 irons, two high-density tungsten weights are positioned in the heel and toe increasing the moment of inertia (MOI) and stabilizing the clubhead even on off-center ball strikes. This added stability provides power and accuracy, even from difficult lies.
A new, soft thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) insert is encased within the cavity to provide a soft, responsive feel at impact.
